By Mark Joyella

In our endless search for surprising stories about the world of coaching, we occasionally uncover something that’s just, well, odd. And yet, as strange as this story may be, we think it’s also somewhat revealing about coaching–especially life coaching.

As CoachReporter Mark Joyella discovered, a parenting website has selected a series of baby names that–they insist–would be perfect fits to infants destined to be life coaches. What might these names be? Mark has the good, the bad, and–no kidding, kids–the evil.

  1. Marly, Okay, you’ve got my curiosity going… why would you name the movie coach “Noel Knight?”

  3. I do believe names have the potential of providing the individual with certain characteristics, but I’m not aware of them predicting their career. Or maybe I’m taking this exercise too literally. Maybe it’s more like a list of good names for fictional characters. In that sense, if your novel has a life coach in it, I think the best name for the life coach would be Noel Knight.

Thanks for this post – interesting!

  5. I think the MomsWhoThink had their tongues firmly in their cheeks. If I had to suggest names for future life coaches, I would go with Joy for a girl, and Chipper for a boy. ha ha
