Cheryl and I met at the first ICF conference in Houston in 1996. I sat between her and Laura Berrman Fortgang and got so inspired I closed my Psychology practice later that year and had 16 coaching clients by January 1997, moved to Florida and later in 1998 started my coaching school, The Institute for Life Coach Training.

I was in a coaching group with Cheryl when she got her first book contract and had to stop the group because she was quickly in demand as an author, speaker, and guest on Oprah!!

Cheryl has been an 'angel' in my life many times over in the 14 years we have known each other and she is a powerful inspiration to me and to the entire coaching profession

The notion of becoming a coach first clicked for me 10 years ago when the Oprah Show ran a weekly series with Cheryl appearing once per week, each show focusing on a different aspect of her book. I might not be a coach or be training coaches if I hadn't watched that series. Thanks Cheryl ~
