It’s a New Year.
Imagine. Clients lining up, taking a ticket, taking a chance, eager to hire YOU.
The Chronicle of Coaching identified a coaching client trend last week. Be sure to click and read about the variety of clients searching for knowledgeable coaches to guide them to rich lives, bigger dreams, financial safety, joyful careers, personal security, and peace of mind. You’ll find this, and more in our weekly roundup of coaching in the media. (In case you wondered, coaching IS in the media, frequently and regularly.)
Many clients stand ready to pay big bucks for sessions with you. Some skeptics aren’t sure about the whole coaching thing yet. And many who want coaching can’t pay you at all.
The Coaching Commons helps connect the dots.
If you are a coach: The Commons needs your LEADERSHIP. We challenge you to bring the coaching experience alive with us at the Commons. Blog about your coaching ideas, skills, questions, expertise, mistakes, talent, research and anything else you can bring to this thrilling moment in history.
The Coaching Commons is independent of coaching schools; the non-partisan ‚Äö√Ñ√∫Switzerland‚Äö√Ñ√π of coaching, so you can freely lead conversations. Host a group coaching call. Or tell us what you learned about coaching while writing your book, what you do to be a more effective coach, what coaching mistakes you avoid. Let’s have a live call for clients and listen to what they have to say about their coaching experience.
If you are a coaching client or potential client: If you are curious about hiring a coach, how can the Coaching Commons help bring coaching to you? What kind of coaching do you need? Tell us and we’ll find a coach to blog or host a live call about your topic.
Coaches, let’s boldly lead on‚Äö√Ѭ∂..into this fresh New Year.

To the Coaching Commons team, you said “We challenge you to bring the coaching experience alive with us at the Commons.”
Well, I challenge you…are you willing to play outside of your box?
The coaching world isn’t in need of exclusivity, rather diversity.
The coaching world isn’t in need of more rules, rather rule breakers.
The coaching world isn’t in need of another business coach, rather permission to build your business as you want.
I love the Commons. WHY? Because you support the intellectual side of the coaching game. You’re willing to do the research and to prove what I and so many already know “COACHING WORKS!”
I don’t care about the why, you do and I love that about you!
You speak of an uncommon conversation, well the most uncommon conversation I can think of is to have a real and very naked dialog where everyone has permission, absolute permission to voice where they are, what’s going on and just a chance to be heard.
A CHANCE TO BE HEARD!
I told Linda I’ve already committed to having uncommon conversations and I meant it. Tomorrow will be the first of such conversations. The call name “Without A Net”.
I fear we have become to vested in the etiquette of being professional and what can or cannot be proven as fact in our community.
I fear that we have allowed one extraordinary individual who has passed away to take with him what he stood for.
I fear we as a community have allowed ourselves to be far too quiet in a world that’s aching to be heard.
My challenge to you is to reach beyond your barriers and made up boundaries of what you call coachingcommons.org and to engage those who don’t necessarily represent your best side.
My challenge to you is to reach out to places where you don’t have control, where you feel vulnerable and model what it really means to live as a coach who because they are so passionate about living what life they have to live that they are willing to break the rules. Even if it offends.
My challenge to you is allow yourself to move from the comfortable dialog and into a dialog that not even you can know the outcome.
I want to play BIG, I want to play with HEART and I’M NOT ALONE!
Possibility starts with you!
I’ve already stepped up, I chose “Possibility” as my last name…..!
On a call today with a fellow creative who shared how one of by posts stirred her to email me as she danced with her butterfly’s and the anticipation of “Do I Dare”.
I don’t see any leaders who are REALLY WILLING TO ANSWER THE MESSY QUESTIONS! If the answer looks good they answer…THIS ISN’T SERVING ANYONE!
I don’t know how, I just know that I am going to change it. I want to turn this industry on it’s ear…it’s time! So my heart says.
With great appreciation,
James
Possibility IS a choice!
I plan to speak out on issues which relate to diversity and professionalism for the coaching industry. I am the major provide of Executive Coaching/Anger Management for Disruptive Physicians and Attorneys.
This is a niche which is rarely represented in the coaching arena.
