The Necessity of Financial Coaching
by Mark Joyella
Vicki Van Horn works to spread financial literacy; her friend Mary Beth Shewan is a coach who–more than ever before–finds herself coaching clients about money.
The two have teamed up on a financial coaching program backed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation aimed at giving coaches a solid foundation in financial coaching skills, and giving financial planners some of the basics of coaching. The collaboration comes as the need for financial literacy and coaching is at an all time high.
