‘So many people won’t do what it takes to be successful’

You’re not going to get through the recession by “living in pity city,” says Francie Dalton, a Columbia, Md.-based business coach and author and chief executive officer of Dalton Alliances Inc.

“Stop being your own worst enemy,” says Ms. Dalton. “If your thoughts are primarily fear based, if you’re envisioning the worst for yourself and your business, if your conversations are focused predominately on bad news, then you’re seriously impeding your own success.”

Ms. Dalton says it’s high time business owners and managers buckled down and commit to taking actions every day to improve revenue.

“You’ve got to prospect and you’ve got to network,” she says. “I know, people hate doing that stuff. But guess what? That’s why there are so few people who are successful during times like this because so many people won’t do what it takes to be successful.” Read story.
