It was a seminar titled “Public Speaking Without Vomiting,” and the dozen women who took turns speaking in front of strangers did so with aplomb and appropriate eye contact.
Donna Marie, a speaking consultant and life coach who is a former General Motors manager, led the program with good humor, gentle persuasion and a plethora of speaking tips.
“Maybe you’re here because you do sales, or you’re a business owner and have to do presentations. Maybe you find yourself not speaking up in office meetings at work,” said Marie.
