As a life coach, I hear all the time how people get into ruts, have no time for anything they want to do, have abandoned most of the things that give them joy and have become surrounded by clutter. Their material possessions are holding them hostage, they’re competitive with their friends and neighbors, and they don’t seem to get that they’ve created all of it. And these are EMPLOYED people!
Maybe some of us need a jolt. I have confessed many times that I probably would not have had the courage to leave a steady job to pursue a more satisfying path, yet I consider my layoff one of the best things that could have happened to me. That occurred in 2002 and I am proud of the myriad of changes I’ve made in my life because of it. Read story.
