After more than 10,000 interviews over a couple of decades, Walsh would prefer if it was called something akin to career coaching, because having an independent expert guide and remold how a person approaches his work can help anybody, not just executives. And don’t fall into the trap of mistakenly thinking coaching is for those can’t cut muster by themselves and need someone to kick their butt into gear. In fact, Walsh says, coaching can make good employees great, great employees even greater, and that filters through to those who work with them, in fact even to their home life. Read story.
