Optometry Today: Do You Need to Have a Coach?

All too often we read a good book, go to a conference, attend a training course, but do we actually apply the learning or implement the good ideas? We get back to our busy schedule of appointments and have little time to work on the business side or to develop ourselves. Are you still doing the same things you did when you established your practice, are you getting the same results? Is this what you want for the future?

Operating in your profession, either as an optometrist or a dispensing optician, you understand the importance of qualifications, reputation and the support you get from your professional organisations such as the General Optical Council for CET. Consider for a moment then, what percentage of your development is spent on you being a better business leader and how much time do you want to spend in this area. If it’s more than you are doing right now, then read on.
