It has become a common practice to do financial and legal due-diligence, when a party is interested to fully or partly buy a business, but this is not good enough. Business coaches can play a vital role in this process also to help investors before and after the purchase. A professional business coach can supply reports which provide the important third dimension in viewing any business. There are aspects that aren’t visible on regular financial statements, nor on legal documents. Knowing these hidden issues before buying, and having a plan on how to deal with them after the purchase is simply a business coach’s job.

Any investor building private equity portfolio, or entrepreneur buying a business who would like to be involved in managing it, needs all of the help that can possibly be obtained to fully understand the venture he/she is about to enter. But there are usually four blind spots, which business coaches can help them see.
