Editor’s Note: From grim to hopeful. In this week’s news, coaches are speaking out to offer hope and help to clients anxious about their businesses and their lives. A business coach in Long Island outlines a plan for the city’s businesses to stay afloat in 2009, and a life coach is asked for advice for a Michigan City. Life coaches in Florida have seen their business improve in a down economy, a sign that people are eager for guidance. Denver-based Mission Wear is coaching former convicts and prostitutes to turn cloth and thread into grocery bags while they turn their lives around. Business coaches have advice for setting and achieving big goals for more success in 2009. For the first week of 2009, hope is the keyword.
