Olivia Fox Cabane is not like most women – when someone once told her that she looked older than her actual age, it did not upset her – instead, she was thrilled. In fact, when Ms. Fox Cabane first started her business at 25 years old, she intentionally took measures to make herself appear older.
Ms. Fox Cabane teaches charisma, influence and persuasion to corporate clients. Her interest in behavioral science came from her parents; her father works in research science and her mother in psychology. After studying international business for many years, Ms. Fox Cabane had a revelation: “I realized that the science of social skills could be extraordinarily effective in the business world,” she says. In 2004, she founded Spitfire Communications, her one-woman company specializing in executive coaching, consulting and lecturing to major organizations such as MIT, Deloitte and Citigroup.
