He’s helped embattled players like Michael Vick find their path in life and now he’s here in Kentuckiana helping those at risk.

Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy stopped by Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium Tuesday afternoon to spread a message to kids that are incarcerated and in alternative programs.

The former coach of the Colts is now taking on the role of life coach to those who need a hand. He has now become the face of a forgotten generation.

“That’s kind of where I’m at right now, just trying to help a lot of young men realize those dreams focus on those dreams and accomplish things in their life,” Dungy told the crowd.

The coach has gone from the sidelines of the football field to the sidelines of the streets.

He is now one of the leading forces in this country reaching out to young men who have fallen in to a path of crime and destruction.

“Think about all that you have the potential to do all that you can do and having that determination to do it but keeping in mind that it’s the Lord that’s going to allow you to do that,” said Dungy.

Coaches have the ability to shape athlete’s and young peoples lives. I’m glad to see something like this helping troubled teens.
