Three years ago, when the Chronicle first went live, there were only 10-15 coaching articles to be found each week. It was like detective work to find them. Now the Chronicle of Coaching is overflowing with TMI! (too much information) At least, too much to read in one sitting. So starting next week, we’ll offer coaching news, hot and fresh each day, under the headline, ‚ÄúThe Commons DeNewsinator.” You’ll find it front and center on our Coaching Commons homepage. As this week’s Chronicle of Coaching shows, the coaching industry is not immune from creating a little controversy of its own. The United Kingdom’s Home Secretary drew attention for spending ¬¨¬£2000 in taxpayer money on executive coaching sessions, while an elementary school principal is given a coach and leadership courses… at a hefty cost to the public. At Planned Parenthood’s branch in Indiana, a nurse was suspended for giving ‘abortion coaching’ to a presumed 13-year old. One coach thinks he has a way to weed out athletes prone to creating controversy before they enter the league.
