Listen to an Uncommon Conversation December 15th, 2008 – One on One: A Conversation with Laura Berman Fortgang
By Katherine Gotshall English
Listen to the recording below:
In the Company of Coaches is proud to welcome coach extraordinaire Laura Berman Fortgang to a special call on Monday evening at 7:00 pm EST.
Laura has a new book coming out early in 2009 entitled: “The Little Book on Meaning: Why We Crave It and How We Create It.”
The conversation will start with a discussion on a few highlights from her book. Other topics that are on Laura’s mind and are conversation ice breakers include:
1: How to cross over into the New Year on a good footing.
2: Insider secrets to a successful practice.
3: How going to seminary has changed Laura’s practice.
The sixty minute recorded call will fly so be sure and call in a few minutes early. We will hopefully get to as many of your questions as possible.
The call has been created exclusively for The Coaching Commons and is being produced by Katherine Gotshall English.
As always, please post your thoughts/questions below

Comment by Shirley Anderson on 15 December 2008:
Laura, thanks for a stimulating call!! Your conversation about the meaning we give to “things,” reminded me of this piece I found on a website on shopaholism. Some experts see shopaholism as a hoarding type of obsessive-compulsive disorder.
The following is a formula for a simple life.
“The more I have, the more I want.
The more I want, the less I have.
The less I have, the less I want.
The less I want, the more I have.”
love and thanks again, Shirley
