Thanks to all who attended or listened to the call on Transpersonal Coaching!

Dont be afraid to ask your clients about their level of satsifaction with their "spiritual developmement" or their life purpose ....they are both doorways to the same conversation about meaning, purpose, and being-ness.

Here is the quote I used from Franz Kafka:

The Art of Listening to Silence. Franz Kafka , the existential writer, understood the value of paying close attention. Read this slowly and with reverence to your clients.

"You need not leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. You need not even listen....simply wait. You need not even wait. Just learn to become quiet, and still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked. It has no choice. It will roll in ecstasy at your feet."

I love it when I get to do things that surprise me! Let me tell you a bit more....

It is a privilege to be a part of the Coaching Commons team. We're here to assist, mix it up and be in service to coaching, coaches and people who would have us work with them around the world.

So, you ask, what's the big surprise in that? The joyful surprise is thinking that actions and service may appear in a certain way only to have that thought turned upside down.

I have two examples. First, an admired fellow coach reminded me about some technology delivery that I believed I had handled. Much to my amazement, I certainly did not have it well handled. And much to my delight, I learned that there really are some little bits of encoded or encrypted computer material that retain surprising memory! Thank you Tom for gently helping me actually deliver on my offer and, in turn, find unanticipated, expanded learning!

Next discovery...Pat, your visibility and vulnerability on today's call gave me pause...pause to reflect on the paradox of thrilling action and fulfilling reflection. In addition to knowing your boyish laughter, intellect and heartfelt dedication to coaching, I got to experience more than a glimmer of your soul while I peeked around the corners at my own. Now, that had me look with humility at all I do and what has me take the dog along on the journey!

I'm savoring today's experiences, talking with people around the globe and allowing a fair amount of silence do any heavy lifting for my next learning!

I very much enjoyed the transpersonal coaching session, even though I usually don't like guided imagery. Resistant Rita here. But this one touched me and will help me greatly in the coaching process.

Wow, Pat, I would like to express my gratitude for such a thrilling and peaceful call today. It was such a treat to take a few minutes and dive into a deeper level of BEING right in the middle of a work day. Merci. Gracias. Gazie. Thank you.
